Brand-new room, top-notch, with very comfortable bed, fresh milk in the fridge for brews plus a romantic meal-food. Central position of the venue, especially helpful staff in the booking or by the receptionist:)))

Truly exceptional and spotless great family run hotel. Genuinely helpful staff members very good with very fast service and friendly staff. Perfect and nice location to the centre of York and easy access to shopping malls and lovely shops. Easy walk to Clifton Methodist Church. Good meal at Michelin-starred restaurant.
Poor area.

We chose this typical English boutique hotel, located in a residential area in a straight line with the cathedral at 10 minutes walk, with a half board offer for 3 nights. They agreed to our request to give us a classic room with a canopy bed in maroon tones (no. 4), this room being considerably more expensive than the standard one we had booked. The breakfast is partly buffet (cereals, pastries, juices, fruits..) and partly a la carte as in the great English hotels, where you can choose whatever you want (typical English dish, eggs Benedictine, smoked salmon from Scotland.., or continental breakfast). In the dinner menu included in the half board you can choose between 5 starters, five seconds and five desserts; but if you want something from the menu they will only charge you the difference according to the dish you choose (2-3-4 pounds) together with the drink (water is free). There is no hotel of this level and so central that offers you all this in York.

Stayed for 1 night n it was amazin! Reminded me of a home away from home. Every little detail was well thought out, loved the spa treatment we got with a massage and facial. The staff were super friendly and, the room was fine! Def gonna be back for sure.
only thing was that maybe the parking could be a bit easier n breakfast could've been better, it was okay but not great.

The room was super cozy and had a record player, such a fun touch. The lighting was perfect for making everything feel homey, and the little details really made a difference-like the fresh milk and complimentary snacks. The ensuite was nice and modern too! My only complaint would be the confusing light switches. I had to guess a few times. A lovely stay!
